CHRISTMAS PARTY
Christmas party will be held on Saturday, December 12th, 2009 at the Asian Cultural Center. The Christmas Raffle tickets have been distributed and members have started selling. Tickets are selling for $10.00 each. Proceeds will go towards helping the Asian Alaskan Cultural Center (AACC) fund its upcoming 2010 - “Asian Culture Night” which feature a Filipino dance group called “Likha” from California. If you are interested in buying and/or selling raffle tickets, please contact Imelda at 764-8387First Prize will be $2,000.00 CASH and ten consolation prizes of $100.00 each.
FUNDRAISING FOR THE PHILIPPINES FLOOD VICTIMS
The FCAA is planning a fundraising project to help the recent flood victims in the Philippines. Some ideas are: (1) “Split the Pot” drawing tickets and (2) a silent auction at our December 12 Annual Christmas Party. Other suggestions are welcome. Please attend our monthly general membership meeting on October 31 to share your ideas. Members and friends are encouraged to participate and to help out our kababayans in the Philippines. If we decide to have the “Split the Pot” and Silent Auction at the annual Christmas Party, you can help by purchasing tickets and/or donating items for the silent auction. . Donations of aid intended for Philippine flood victims through the FCAA are tax deductible. The FCAA issues receipts for donations made. KARILAGAN Folkloric Group
Members have been practicing. Adults practice every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Kids and Youth have practice every Friday and Saturday. Youth will be performing at the West High School for their Multi Cultural Event, Thursday, Feburary 19th. Another performance will be on February 28th at the Museum for the Meet the World event. 44TH ANNUAL FOUNDER’S DAY Banquet and Ball
The 2009 Founder’s Day Banquet and Ball will be held at the Sheraton Hotel on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Event chairperson is Letty Tadina (830-4195) and co-chair is Rina Mangrobang (360-0549).

ANNUAL PICNIC – INDEPENDENCE DAY PICNIC - JUNE 13TH, SATURDAY
This year’s annual picnic will be held on June 13th, Saturday, from 11-6 pm at the Centennial/Pena Park in Muldoon. There will be more information on next month’s newsletter.
