Performances
Karilagan performances will be on November 7th, Guadalupe Church and on November 15th, at the Asian Center for AACC, Winter Festival.

Christmas Party
Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 13th, 2008. Chairperson for this event is Merba Bartolome (336-2511), and Co-Chair is Imelda (764-8387) and the Program Coordinator is Nic (245-1572). We need more volunteers for food, decorations, set up and clean up, etc. If you would like to participate to the committee, please call Merba or Imelda. As usual, we will have food, entertainment, songs, dances and karaoke. We are going to have another Parole/Lantern contest. Requirements in joining the contest will be attached to this notice.
AUCTION – There will also be a silent auction. Evelyn is in charge for this event. If you have some stuff to donate, please call Evelyn at 333-8669 or bring it to our next meeting, November 29th.
CHRISTMAS RAFFLE TICKETS - We have sold several booklets. However, we still need to sell a lot more tickets. Please help. For those who have helped so far, Thank you all for your assistance. If you need more tickets to sell or buy please contact any of the officers listed above.
Cost for the ticket is $10.00 each ticket. If you need tickets to sell, please call Merba at 336-2511 or any officers listed above.
Grand Prize is a round trip ticket to the Philippines or $1,500.00 CASH.
Consolation Prizes are ten (10) $100.00 CASH each.
44th Annual Founder’s Day Banquet and Ball
2009 Founder’s Day Banquet and Ball will be held at Sheraton Hotel on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Chairperson for this event is Letty Tadina (830-4195) and Co-Chair Rina Mangrobang (360-0549). Practices for the dances: kids, youths and adults, are now well underway (see above listed practice dates). A table or a seat is reserved when a payment is made ahead of time. So, buy your tickets early.
SCHOLARSHIP
FCAA’s Educational Scholarship will be awarded to a junior high school in March 2009.

TAGALOG CLASS
Registration for Tagalog class is now open. Honeylet has agreed to teach the class again. We are planning to purchase a workbook for the students to use beginning 2009. For the meantime, if you have any kind of Tagalog books to donate for our Tagalog class, please bring them to our monthly meetings or call Honeylet at 952-2297 or to any Officers listed above for pick up.
Filipino Stuff
We are planning to update the Filipino stuff displayed at the Asian Center. We have not changed our display for a long time. We are asking all members to see if anyone or any member/s can donate any kind of Filipino stuff to put on the glass display. Again, please call any of the Officers listed above for an item pick up.
